The company’s founder, Jeannette Button, is backed by a network of equally qualified professionals who will assist in providing extra capacity, creative talents and online know-how.
With more than twenty-five years experience in the communication industry, Jeannette has worked on projects across the telecommunications, tourism, mining, government and not-for-profit sectors. She is well connected to the local media and communications network and understands the Territory’s unique locations and characters.
Since establishing PR Button, Jeannette has developed her credentials in community consultation and engagement and has been engaged by both the government and private sector on key infrastructure and environmental projects.
Jeannette is passionate about communications, excels in situations which call on her ability to manage stakeholder relations, is self-motivated and works well in a crisis.
A recognised leader in her field, Jeannette has developed her own media training packages, has taught at Charles Darwin University, is a Fellow of the PRIA and IAP2 accredited in Community Engagement.
Jeannette believes in giving back to the community and is currently the Chair of the Northern Territory Australia Day Council and a Board member for Carpentaria. Jeannette has previously served as the President of the Northern Territory chapter of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and a national PRIA Board Member and Chair of Corrugated Iron Youth Arts.

US company Vista Gold is well aware of the importance of managing their brand and reputation for one of the Territory’s well known mine sites, the Mt Todd Gold Mine. PR Button provides fully managed services for all of the project’s public relations requirements. Activities include media management, branding, website and the development of a community engagement program which ensures that the community has access to current and accurate information on the mine project.
Operating as a not-for-profit can sometimes mean that the operating budget does not extend to full time public relations and marketing positions. PR Button provides the strategic public relations advice to assist the community services organisation develop their public profile and promote their services to the wider community. Throughout her career Jeannette has been called on to meet stakeholders in remote communities, stage major events, inspire tourism activity and produce everything from pens and notepads to street signs and public giveaways.
Drawing on extensive experience of working with the media on a daily basis, PR Button offers training workshops in understanding the media and how to make sure you get your message across. Jeannette has also developed a presentation skills program to assist with public speaking and ensuring that your organisation is professionally presented.
